Galesburg Heritage Days 2011 Part 1.

This past Saturday was (unfortunately) our first event of the year. Due to unfortunate events we have been able to make it to any before this... So as you can imagine, we were more then excited to actually be able to attend one!!!!! :D

Our day dawned bright and early as we rushed around doing chores, packing the car, and doing our hair. At long last we were finally on our way. We arrived around 11:00 a.m. I think. So here are some pictures we have collected.

First we'll start with the best photos of the day which were taken by Tom Davison. It was a pleasant surprise to see him there. He is an outstanding photographer with a great sense of humor!

My beautiful big sister Michelle.

Yours truly!

And the youngest sister, Megan!

Then our lovely cousins and friends Lauren and Abigail arrived.

 The ever elegant Emily!

Sarah. Also know as Cherise, the twin, and we won't mention the rest. :D

Rachel looking picture perfect!

Our little group with the addtion of Tom, the master of these wonderful photos.
Back row L-R: Abigail, Sarah, Emily, Michelle, Tom, Brooke, and Megan.
Front row. L-R: Lauren and Rachel

An amazing effect done by a fish eye lense.

In this shot we were posing for a lady to take our photo when many other photographers joined in. So if we look alittle skittered its because we're trying to please the mob of photographers. Who all had their own opinion on whether we should smile or not. :D It was a paparazzi moment. lol

Circle of friendship!

Michelle's face shows a glimpse of life around Tom. ITS GREAT!

Onto the battle we march.

This band is fantastic!

The johnny rebs marching to battle.

Waiting for the battle to begin.

A cool shot!

A calvery-man on a stunning horse.

Another union rider. I love how the horses face depicts the horrors of war.

Confederates on the field.

Rushing to the rescue. (that was michelle's idea. :D)

Fallen gray-backs.

The battle rages on.

AWESOME effect!

A sleek artillery peice.

Oh the suspense! :P

Yankees...

One of the coolest pictures ever!

This one is equal to the one above.

The battle nearing its end.

The rebels in review.

What a creative photo. :)

Yanks exiting the battle field...

And with that we will close this post as we don't want to make to much of a monster out of it. I do hope you have enjoyed the post so far. We've had a good time putting it together. Part 2 will be up tomorrow. :)

Love,
Brooke and Michelle
